Getting Started

Is Resume Builder free to use?

Yes. Resume Builder is completely free to use, including all templates, the guided builder, and PDF export. There is no subscription or paywall on core features.

Do I need to create an account to use Resume Builder?

No. Resume Builder works entirely without a login or account. You can start building a resume the moment you open the app — your data is stored locally on your device.

What devices does Resume Builder support?

Resume Builder is available for Android devices running Android 7.0 (Nougat) or newer.

Templates

How many resume templates does Resume Builder offer?

30+ templates across categories including ATS-friendly, Fresher, Professional, and domain-specific designs for fields like Engineering, Healthcare, and Design. Browse templates →

What is an ATS-friendly resume template?

An ATS (Applicant Tracking System) friendly template uses a simple, single-column layout with standard section headers, designed to be read correctly by the screening software many companies use before a human ever sees your resume.

Can I change templates after filling in my resume?

Yes. Your information is entered once through the guided builder and can be applied to a different template at any time without re-entering your details.

Your Data & Privacy

Where is my resume data stored?

All resume data is stored locally on your own device using on-device storage. Resume Builder does not operate a server that receives or stores your resume content.

Does Resume Builder upload my resume to a server?

No. Your resume content never leaves your device except when you choose to export or share it yourself. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Can I use Resume Builder without an internet connection?

Yes — the core resume-building and PDF export features work offline. An internet connection is only used for displaying ads, which help keep the app free.

How do I delete my resume data?

You can delete individual resumes from within the app's My Resumes screen, or uninstall the app to remove all stored data at once.

Exporting & Sharing

How do I download my resume as a PDF?

After completing the guided builder, open the Preview screen and tap Download PDF. Your resume will be saved as a print-ready PDF file on your device.

Can I share my resume directly to WhatsApp or email?

Yes. From the Preview screen, tap Share to send your resume PDF directly through WhatsApp, email, or any other app installed on your device.

Why did my PDF download fail?

This is usually caused by low device storage. Free up some space and try again. If the problem continues, restart the app and try once more — if it still fails, contact support with details of your device model.

Account & Technical

I can't add a profile photo — why?

Adding a photo requires picking one from your device's gallery or files app. If this isn't working, confirm your device has a working file/gallery app installed, then try restarting Resume Builder.

The app crashed — how do I report a bug?

Please reach out via the Contact page with your device model and Android version, and a short description of what you were doing when it happened.

How do I contact support?

Through the Contact page on this site, or via the WhatsApp channel linked in the app's Settings screen.
